Yiheyuan - Summer Palace ( )

Located in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing , the Yiheyuan occupies 290 hectares and is one of China’s largest parks. The park’s main features are Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Its natural beauty is set off by a multitude of highly decorative halls, towers, galleries, pavilions, kiosks and bridges. Especially noteworthy is the ingenious way in which the architects adapted the buildings to blend in with or accentuate the natural surroundings.
