Run fixs.exe (under either DOS or Windows),
the file will extract six files - setup1.ex_, vboa300.dl_, prosims.ex_,
output.xl_, operator.xl_, and parts.xl_. Copy
these files to your PROSIMS/PRODSS disk (Accept to overwrite and replace
the old ones). Reinstall your system. (Reconfigure your
system if needed).

For some computers, due to the lack of an OLC file - VBOA300.DLL, the PRODSS system files may have been copied to your hard drive and uncompreseed but the PRODSS and PRODSS.HLP icons cannot be created. The problem has been fixed.
Student version of PROSIMS may not print
reports properly. (Fixed: September 19, 1996).
For some printers, due to the lack of 100% compatibility with Microsoft Windows driver, the reports may not be printed properly. The problem has been fixed.
Typos found in the Output module of PRODSS.
(Fixed: February 12, 1997).
Several typos have been found in the Figure 6.4 (page 88) of PROSIM textbook as well as the output module of PRODSS. The carrying cost of product Y for the month before should be 27.60 (not 27.30). Please correct the typos in your PROSIM textbook. The typos in the disk have been corrected.

planning modules. The spreadsheets won't allow users to enter product
or parts names (Figs. 6.5 and 6.8). The bugs have been fixed.

There are major bugs found in the operator and parts requirement
planning modules. The spreadsheets may produce wrong results for some
exceptional cases (Figs. 5.6, 5.8 and 6.7). The bugs have been fixed.

Run fix03.exe (under either DOS or Windows), the file will extract a file called prosim.ex_. Copy prosim.ex_ to your PROSIM disk (Accept to overwrite the old one). Reinstall your system. But please Do not reconfigure your system; otherwise, your simulation data will be erased.

To test drive the PROSIM/PRODSS systems, you can download a demonstration version of the systems - prodemo.exe. Click Here to download the file (about 1 MB). Store the file in a separate directory. Run the program prodemo.exe to extract the compressed files. Then run setup.exe to install the demon. Review on-line Help before using the system.
To prevent students from obtaining the simulator, the simulation and printing functions have been turned off. Therefore, you can only configure the system, access the decision form and display the reports. A seven-team report for the first period has been included for review purpose.
