- Chao-Hsien Chu--- Associate Professor of IST. Dr. Chu is serving in the university’s
faculty advisory committee on academic computing. He has led the faculty to
develop the introductory networking and telecommunications course, the new mobile
information services design & implementation course, and others. He will

- Cole Camplese--- Director of Education and Training Solutions
and Co-Director of the IST Solution Institute. His primary responsibility is
the development and implementation of the strategic direction for the Institute.
He also directs all aspects of online courseware development and oversees of
the creation of innovative academic programs and technology tools that extend
their reach. He will lead the team in developing the collaborative mobile learning

- Keith Bailey--- Manager of Instructional Technology Solutions
and Assistant Professor of IST. Dr. Bailey oversees the development of web technologies

- Kristin Z. Camplese---Manager of Instructional Design and Research. In this
role, she oversees the instructional design and research initiatives within

- John Harwood---Senior Director of Teaching and Learning with Technology at
Penn. State, Associate Professor of Information Sciences and Technology and
Associate Professor of English. Dr. Harwood chairs Penn State's e-Education
Council, a group that encourages and supports innovative uses of technology

- Peng Liu--- assistant professor of IST. Dr. Liu’s teaching and research
interests include systems security and survivability, database systems, and
peer-to-peer systems in the contexts of E-Commerce, digital infrastructure systems,

- Carleen Maitland--- assistant professor of IST. Dr. Maitland’s research
is concerned with inter-organizational relations and market structures in the

- Steve Sawyer--- associate professor of IST. Sawyer conducts research on
social and organizational informatics: studying how people work together and

Student Interns:
The two students, selected from the minority students group of
freshmen or sophomore, will be part of the team. They will help the team to
design the online questionnaire, online Device Management System, M-course,
and course web sites. They will also help to conduct and analyze the student
surveys and spread our effort and experience to other academic units at Penn.
